Orlando is a bustling area famous for being the home of Walt Disney World and Sea World. The Orlando area also has one of the highest concentrations of lakes in the state, large and small, and many of them right on Walt Disney World property. The city also provides some of the best golf courses in the area. Florida offers beautiful sandy beaches for beach lovers, including the historic playgrounds of Miami Beach, and spring break capitals Ft. Lauderdale and Daytona.

In Orlando Public education is handled by Orange County Public Schools. Some of the larger private schools include Trinity Preparatory School, Lake Highland Preparatory School, Bishop Moore High School, New School of Orlando, Orlando Christian Academy, and Forest Lake Academy. Orlando is also a home to the second largest university in Florida, the University of Central Florida.Orlando is America's family fun capital or the world. If shopping is a favorite vacation activity, Orlando will not disappoint you. Disney and Universal have their own shopping “theme parks,” and Winter Park's Park Avenue has unique shops and bistros with an eclectic feel.

Orlando has also been called Hollywood East because of numerous cinematic enterprises in the area. The Orlando Metropolitan Area is home to a substantial theatre population, as well. The Orlando area is also home to a wide variety of tourist attractions, including the Walt Disney World resort, Universal Orlando Resort, and SeaWorld Orlando.
